Motolite Excel uses German technological characteristics
Thanks to its German technology and perfectly suited to tropical applications, the new Motolite Excel is full of innovations that allow it to last at least 70% longer than competing lead-acid batteries. Excel’s high purity electrolyte, specially manufactured at Motolite’s state-of-the-art facilities, is formulated to minimize water loss and slow self-discharge, which are key concerns in tropical applications. This means motorists can rest assured that their batteries will not run out of water even when subjected to extreme temperatures under the hood and excessively hot temperatures. Studies have shown that the number of days with temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius per year has doubled since the 1980s due to global warming. The new Motolite Excel also features thick, rigid and solid positive and negative grids with optimized wire architecture for mechanical endurance, high temperature corrosion resistance and current distribution. The Excel also boasts of a paste specially formulated to increase the starting ability and endurance of the cycle. The cell design, on the other hand, increases mechanical durability and prevents internal short circuits. Its glass mat laminated polyethylene separation envelopes secure active masses, preventing loss even in deep discharges and rough road conditions, resulting in exceptional durability and longer life. The cells are designed to have well-fitting elements, improving the vibration resistance and mechanical durability of the battery. Thicker studs and through-partition cell connectors, on the other hand, promote more efficient current flow, helping to achieve maximum capacity, providing exceptional durability and ensuring longer service. The New Excel also includes rigid and solid positive and negative grids with an optimized wire architecture for mechanical endurance, corrosion resistance and current distribution. The Excel case, a product of Motolite’s recycling initiative, is impact and all-weather resistant, with polypropylene lids and containers designed for all types of battery bins and compartments. To complement its product advancements, the Philippine company has also led the way in service innovation through the Motolite Res-Q app, the first mobile app to offer multiple services to motorists on and off the road, including including assistance in the event of a flat battery, flat tire, overheating and empty fuel.
